The sixth Intellivison Baseball League season began on 4/1/19. The Snakes got a new offensive focus in the offseason and came back with a new name: Upmonsters. Their winter work paid off as they started the season with a 3-0 win against the Smash. The next week, the Deadly Dogs beat the River Raiders 1-0 in 19 innings, tying a record for the longest game in league history.
On May 6, the River Raiders beat the Beamriders 3-2 in a 17 inning dogfight. The next day, the Spartans scored FOUR RUNS in the the 3rd inning and beat the Ghosts 5-0. Two days after that, the Bombers broke a 1-1 tie with FIVE RUNS in the 11th inning and beat the Smash 6-1. |

By mid-season, the Ghosts and Upmonsters were leading the Action Network, while the Deadly Dogs were the best team in the league.
On June 11, the River Raiders and Spartans had the league's first "throwback game", wearing the uniforms of the original Intellivision Baseball game (red and orange, cyan and blue). The game ended up being a classic, with the River Raiders bunting in a game tying run in the bottom of the 9th inning. The Raiders won the game 3-2 in 18 innings. The River Raiders eventually took over first place in the Battle Network and became back-to-back network champions, while the Ghosts won the Action Network with the best offense in the league. |

The Ghosts hosted the River Raiders on June 24 in game 1 of the league championship series. The Ghosts got behind early, but tied the game 2-2 in the 8th. Both teams battled hard until the River Raiders scored two runs in the 12th to win 4-2.
In game 2, the River Raiders shut out the Ghosts 1-0 to become league champions. |
