IBL's Greatest Games
Mutants at Beamriders
6/17/15
The Beamriders had already won their second Action Network Championship two days prior, so their manager gave their starters the day off. The Mutants lit up the Beamriders for four runs while shutting out the champs. The Beamriders big bats later came out and tied the game 4-4 in the 7th inning. The two teams battled it out until the Beamriders got a walk-off single in the 10th inning, capping off one of the biggest comebacks in IBL history.

River Raiders at Bombers
4/20/17
It was still early in the fourth season of the league and teams were still shaking off the rust from the offseason. The River Raiders were coming into this game from a bye week and they were still feeling good about an extra inning win against the Deadly Dogs in week one. The Deadly Dogs turned around and got a comeback win against the Bombers in week two. The Bombers took the field in this game trying to get their first win of the season.
The River Raiders quickly jumped out to a two run lead in the first inning on a combination of infield hits, a near miss home run, and a Bombers error. The Bombers fired back with five straight singles to tie the game in the bottom of the first. The Bombers then hit into a double play and a groundout to second to finally end the inning.

Ghosts at Bombers
6/8/21
For the first time in league history, the Bombers played the Ghosts at home. The Ghosts came into the game just barely beating the Smash for their first win of the season. The Bombers had an average start to their season, not scoring too many runs but also not giving up many.
In the first inning, the Bombers got some base hits and scored a run on a Ghosts' error. The Ghosts pounded some hits in the 4th inning and tied the game 1-1. In the 5th inning, the Bombers drew a walk, got a single to right-center, then crushed a home run to left to take the lead 4-1.

Now, in this league, a 4-1 lead going into the 9th inning is a win 99% of the time. However, as the saying goes, it ain't over until it's over. Down to their last out, the Ghosts got three straight hits up the middle, then on the next pitch they unloaded an incredibly rare GRAND SLAM over the left-center field wall to take a 5-4 lead!

Again, in this league, most games end with a one run lead. So the Ghosts thought they stunned the Bombers enough to steal a win. However, the Bombers' closer was not the only one to have problems in this game. The Bombers got a string of infield singles, then, down to their final out, crushed a WALK OFF SINGLE to center and won the game 6-5.

Mutants at Smash
7/18/23
The Smash were having a horrible season after making it to the league championship series in 2022. They had just tied the record for the worst start to a season at 0-7. They faced the Mutants, who were having an average season but still had a slight chance at making the postseason. The Smash got it started scoring on a fielder's choice in the 2nd inning. The Mutants tied it by scoring on a fielder's choice in the 3rd inning. The Smash took the lead 2-1 in the 6th on an RBI single.
